Horsepower remains strong at 217 at 13000 rpm, already difficult to better, but it now fulfils the stringent Euro 5 standards and tops out at 305 km/h. The new Magneti Marelli ECU 11MP control system, as well as a lighter exhaust with less thermal inertia, help to decrease emissions even more.
The amazing Öhlins Smart EC2.0 semi-active suspension system, which has been fine-tuned by a joint effort comprising both their engineers and the elite-squad from Noale, is featured on the RSV4 Factory. The new and enhanced system has been thoroughly tested on the roughest courses, including Imola and Mugello, until both teams are entirely satisfied with the results. It provides a major improvement in both performance and that elusive, but difficult to describe, riding "feeling."
With a choice of semi-active and manual mode, both easily activated via buttons on the handlebar, the Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system makes customising and calibrating the shock absorbers and forks a breeze. Three maps that govern the suspension in different ways provide further customisation choices.
